• Breakage/incompatibility with recent marshmallow releases
• Issue [SUPPORT NOTICE] #568 indicates there are no active maintainers/reviewers

This is a widely used project (~1.5k GitHub stars and ~94k dependents), so it would help users to clearly signal its status.

Request: Please consider archiving the repository (or, at minimum, adding a prominent README + PyPI notice stating “maintenance inactive” and linking to #568). Archiving would make it explicit on GitHub and PyPI that the project is read-only, reducing the chance that new users adopt it assuming active maintenance.

* I'd have commented in #568, but that was locked.
