[web25] Residencies and Events management and section #1306
Description
Old residencies are in: https://github.com/life-itself/next.lifeitself.org/tree/main/programs - examples https://github.com/life-itself/markdown-to-wordpress
We want these all on new site so they show up on e.g. https://lifeitself.org/hubs
- Migrate markdown residencies to wordpress (either automated or by hand)
- Improve design of residencies layout ...
Tasks
- Migrate all Markdown-based residencies into WordPress.
- Given the small number, manual migration is likely faster than automating.
- Do 1–2 test imports first to understand the workflow.
- Main complexity: correct author IDs. You have automation code that handles this; they may need to consult or reuse it.
Future
- After migration, ensure all residencies appear correctly under lifeitself.org/hubs and populate the “Upcoming residencies” section.
- Improve the design/layout of the residency archive and individual residency pages (the existing WP layout is acceptable but not great).
