Updating cells randomness #5

Problem/Motivation
When wanting to update a cell, it has problems figuring it out. Sometimes it just doesn't display what you're typing, sometimes it digs up an old value, etc. I ended up giving up and using notebooks to list out the dates and payments for my Access To Work grant and doing the calculations "manually" (CMD+Space on my Mac to calculate in the search lol). Can't beat the speed of markdown.
Steps to reproduce
Try changing a value in a cell. These were the ones in the column I've got formatted as currency. I guess it can't be super-simple to code distributed spreadsheet updates eh!
