One of the requirements for CNCF incubation is to have public meetings setup, as defined here.
The Lima project documents that it does not have such meetings due to timezone differences.
As the project has a very active community even without these meetings, this is not seen as a blocker for incubation. Still the TOC recommends that the project sets up public meetings with diverse slots if needed, to help engage with newcomers to the project and promote contributions.
