Is there a way to just dump a srt somewhere and see how it works?

Right. But I am having issues with the software actually finding the srt files and such. Is there a way to run the translation manually by pointing the software at a subtitle file?

No you will need a radarr and sonarr instance to make lingarr work, if you need per subtitle translation I can really recommend https://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit it provides the same, and at many parts even better support for subtitle editing and translation.

I was finally able to configure the **arr paths properly and have lingarr find the files. I've tested one episode from English using deepseek and the results are impressive. Great job.

Thanks for the recommendation for the subtitle editor too. My current go to for batch processing is https://github.com/machinewrapped/gpt-subtrans .

Oh, you have them, I misunderstood that. And yeah, the volume paths can be finicky. Check the console to find the correct paths if you encounter any other errors with missing subtitles, as the translations tasks will also indicate where the subtitle is retrieved from.

Good tip, good to see there are more open source initiatives! Let me know if you find anything that Lingarr really misses.
