Overview

Manual testing checklist for Linksys Now Next Gen v2.0.0 release.

Test Scope

1. Instant Setup

• Factory reset router and complete initial setup
• Test WiFi configuration (SSID, password)
• Test admin password setup
• Verify firmware check during setup
• Test error handling and retry flow

2. Firmware Update (OTA & Manual)

OTA:

• Check update notification when new firmware available
• Test "Check for Updates" flow
• Verify progress indicator during update
• Verify version after update completion

Manual (Instant Admin):

• Upload firmware file via file picker
• Verify upload progress
• Test success/error handling

3. Add Child Nodes (Wireless & Wired)

• Add wireless child node
• Add wired child node
• Verify node appears in topology
• Verify Backhaul connection type display
• Test LED status indicators

4. Auto Parent First Login

• Connect from child node coverage area
• Verify auto-connect to Parent node
• Verify Mesh network management access

5. Local Network Settings

• Change LAN IP address
• Change hostname
• Toggle DHCP server on/off
• Verify redirect after IP change

6. Internet Settings

• Test DHCP mode configuration
• Test Static IP mode configuration
• Configure IPv6 settings
• Test Release & Renew

7. Troubleshooting

• Run Speed Test
• Test server selection dialog
• Verify speed test history
• Test no-internet connection troubleshooter flow

8. 1.2.8 Migration Features

• PWA install banner (DU model only)
• Speed test server selection UI
• Speed units using SI (1000 base)
• HealthCheckManager2 service support

Acceptance Criteria

All test items must pass before v2.0.0 release.
