Lock screen background

i want to change the default lock screen but i;m unable to do so because the /usr/share/backgrounds is read-only . please does anyone have any idea , what can be done to resolve the issue.

You should be able to modify it via the Control Center app that comes with the system. At the place where you set the wallpaper, if you right-click the wallpaper then it also have an option to set it as lock screen background.

it works but only until the system is in use. once i shut down and start the system again, it goes back to the default lock screen background.
