Feature request: allow changing the windows controls position from right to left

Since Deepin switched to Kwin is it possible to introduce a feature to allow users to change window controls position from right to the left?

No. I mean, to move the Close, Minimize and Maximize buttons to the left.

dde-wm is not available and file-manager doesn't seem the apropriate place.

Sorry for the super late response since we did not look into issues that were created outside the developer-center repo.

Most deepin app (file manager, image viewer, etc.) are using Client-Side Decoration which means WM cannot control where its window control button will be displayed, so we'll see if they're planning to add an option to allow move these button to left.

I think this can be achieved with settings option, but that would mean all core apps having to follow that setting.

Also, may I ask why the decision of using client-side decoration? Asking for my knowledge.

Yeah, you're right, but sadly there is no such option for this purpose for now, and since most apps that CSD (Client-Side Decoration) means they want to fully control the UI design (that include the title bar part), the designer will probably not be going to support such option (if there is an option for that purpose)

It's a design decision. The designer would like to re-use the empty space on the title bar to do something else for the app (add a search box, add a tab bar for multi-tab, etc.), so as a result DDE apps are using Client-Side Decoration to achieve the goal.
