How are CNCF project repositories synced?

Hi everyone 👋

I have a question regarding how project repositories are synced. Apologies if I missed an explanation somewhere!

From what I understand:

Archived repositories are still listed but do not count toward the project health score, which makes sense 👍

However, I’m not sure how new repositories are handled.

👉 Are newly created repositories within the project’s GitHub organization automatically synced, or do project maintainers need to explicitly request a sync or open an issue/PR to add them?

Hey @yada, we just released repo auto-sync last week.

For projects where we have a GitHub org connected, we're automatically scanning for new repos and adding them automatically. This is the case for most CNCF projects.

If your project is missing repos, I can look into it.

Seems like only selected repos were connected, not the whole GitHub org.

I've just updated it. All repos should show up in the next 48 hours. From now, we will sync new repos automatically.

All synced, but archived repos are not tagged accordingly anymore... ex: https://github.com/microcks/microcks-azure

@yada, the missing archived tag has been fixed. Our periodic archived repositories checker had some issues that were preventing some repositories from being processed. It has been fixed and the repository mentioned here can now be seen as archived on Insights.
