Track downloads stats for github release artefacts?

Hello,

We (Headlamp project) would like to request a feature to see download counts for github release artefacts.

This information is available publicly:

curl -s -H "Accept: application/vnd.github+json" https://api.github.com/repos/headlamp-k8s/plugins/releases | jq '.[] | {tag_name: .tag_name, assets: [.assets[] | {name: .name, downloads: .download_count}]}'

It would be useful for us to see if people are using our different releases over time. We don’t store or record analytics as an open source project, so our sources of information for this are limited. This information is not graphed by github.
