Description
I was wondering how folder color switcher applies colors to folders. The question arises because not all icon themes support the folder color switcher.
It seems, folder color switcher "switches" to png or svg icons.
Since Mint uses CSS for theming, my question is if a css filter to "rotate colours" wouldn't be a better option instead to change folder icons with image files.
This way folder color switcher would be compatible with all kind of icon themes. In CSS, it's easy to add a filter to desaturate and brighten, then rotate colours.
Adding colours to folders is very useful to add an unique status to projects.
I am not too fond with the standard icon theme and currently I use another icon theme (ePapirus), so this report.
What could I do to re-enable the folder color switcher? Copy alternative folder icons in ~/.icons/ ?
I've almost no clue how to theme Linux Mint, all I want is to get the folder color switcher back but in my unsupported icon theme.
