Hyphenisation of folder names needs fixing (Finnish)

The way folder names are hyphenated needs fixing, at least for Finnish. The Finnish folder (and file?) name should be hyphenated at the border of the compound word (taito-luistelu-kisojen or taitoluistelu-kisojen, see screenshot)

I don't know if it is possible to fix this behaviour, but at present folder names look ugly and the reading experience is not very good.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new folder
2. Write a random folder name containing a Finnish compound word such as "Taitoluistelukisojen kuvat" (Figure skating competition photos).
3. The word is not hyphenated at the word border of the compound word (taito-luistelu-kisojen or taitoluistelu-kisojen)

Expected behavior

I expect compound words to be hyphenated at word borders.

Tried this via a UK English keyboard - and got exactly the same result as your picture.
I wouldn't expect the name to be actually hyphenated (with true hyphens), simply split with line feeds at "nice" points.
For example, that orphan 'n' ought to to be avoided, if possible.

That label is already configured to break at word boundaries first, then character boundaries only if necessary to fit the provided space.

I'm worried if we try PANGO_WRAP_WORD we'll have a lot more ellipsizing (there is a fixed row count at play here), which imo is worse than an occasional undesirable wrap.

Yeah, I'm not expecting the name to be hyphenated either, it was just the only word that came to mind when I submitted the issue. I agree that orphan characters should be avoided, if possible.

I see. But as Jeremy said, could we at least try to avoid having orphan characters?
