Wanted change

Trying to connect to a KRDP server on Arch Linux (CachyOS), and it fails with the message on the serverside:
org.kde.krdp: Client does not support H.264 in YUV420 mode!

Reason for change

Can't connect to my computer as it stands now.

We just ingest default remmina from Noble, I will look into swapping to their PPA, but I am weary of that as it looks like they want to kill it off and are looking for maintainers.

I just did a test and the problem is plugin incompatibility, from PPA you just get freerdp2 that is likely why they are looking for maintainers.
Trixie is not in yet, snap and flatpak are out in docker for obvious reasons. So that leaves Arch and Arch comes with its own set of problems mainly running head stuff in a docker container (libc libseccomp) causes incompatibilities with underlying hosts with older kernels where users would need to run seccomp unconfined to function. Also Arch packages every package as a dev package (header files etc) along with deep dependency chains resulting images are conventionally massive and 2-4 times even glibc counterparts. Arch also is tough to maintain builds for you get waterfall issues because we have a multi layered system from base to desktop base to the final app image and arch does not host their own arm repos and we fight build issues with the community arm repos almost on a daily basis.

I am only telling you all of this to let you know why we make these types of decisions, we want these images to essentially be on build auto pilot in between rebases to major distribution upgrades. So just in general the most likely outcome is this feature will not be in until 26.04 with later versions of freerdp. Or if Trixie gets it within its release cycle I can rebase to that.
We will not be building from source or rebasing to Arch, but if you find a way to integrate this support before the distros catch up I am open to a PR.
