Use :peer to spawn elixir node?

Right now we spawn a new elixir node with Port.open({"spawn-executable". With the release of OTP 25, would it make sense to use the :peer module to create new elixir nodes?

The :peer module is actually a new version of the existing :slave module. We could use it to spawn a new node, however that is an Erlang node, it doesn't have the Elixir applications and modules, so using a port is actually simpler :)
