the func of paint format seems doesn`t work

the paint format doesnt work , i think its very important , to adjust cell format one by one make me crazy!

It doesn't work for me either. And even when I have two columns formatted, and add a new column in between them, it start with a clear formatting rather than replicating the format of what is by its side.
