Any way to set default settings for each checkpoint?

Is there any way to set default settings for a specific checkpoint? So I can just switch checkpoint and then hit generate, instead of having top change all the settings each time I switch the model?

It would be very handy if this also worked with the x/y grid script, so I can specify models, and it'll automatically use their default settings.

(Or maybe I'm going about this in the wrong way altogether? I'm a newb here, as you can probably tell.)
