Hires.fix button / runtime error

Does anybody know solution for this issue ? Happens only for me when pressed Hires.fix button.
The issue is like 2-3 weeks old after some update.
When the file format for images is set to jpg it's just working fine.

As a test, try Settings > Infotext > Stealth infotext mode set to None.
(Same issue, linking here for visibility #2729. Also could be related: #2690)
I suspect it's due to this: #2684, but I don't have this commit on my local install so can't test it easily.
