Migration to SCUI?

I saw in the README that there was a consideration to eventually port to other platforms! I'm involved in a project SCUI, which inherits its design from SwiftUI, and plugs into the native platforms for WinUI and GTK, etc. — which would make this support very easy.

Just wanted to check if this was a realistic PR to make, because it would be sizable. Would also likely involve switching off of XCode and into Swift Bundler which would make it possible to test most of this with the in-built previewers.

this would be awesome! however, i've looked into scui and it doesn’t yet have certain features. the most important thus far is a webview implementation, enough to host hcaptcha within it.

making a number of clients for various platforms utilising different interface libraries and frameworks would be great for people who'd like different choices! it would be really cool to make a big project with scui!

an scui project wouldn’t necessarily replace existing work, but be its own subproject like the current linux subproject. the existing swiftui project is actually mixed swiftui appkit and uikit. migrating to scui is unfortunately not possible.

i would love to develop a client with scui alongside the existing app! i'm just waiting for the current webview implementation to work on other platforms than macos!

To be clear, the only blocker is the webview support? That shouldn't be too hard for me to contribute :) I guess the core of paicord is pretty modular to support these frontends so easily!! ▰▰▰▰▰ Miles Wirth 🙃

yeah! the networking and models are part of paicordlib, which remains platform agnostic. it'd be great if you got webviews working, thank you!

i forked the official hcaptcha repo for appkit support. this might serve as a useful reference to whats needed in the webview implementation maybe, idk.

scui supports Observable right? i think most of the view models from the existing swiftui client can be drag and dropped into the scui project and used, then it'd just be a case of making the ui for it!

Kickstarted some discussion. Probably a week out till I can get a draft up. Would you accept a Swift Bundler PR in the meantime?

make an scui pr instead, we can work on the pr together and then merge once work is stable! just make the new project in the pr to start.
