not working for me，after upgrade my ubuntu to 22.04， and clang to 14， I still having this problem~
And I also follow your suggestion， using sudo apt install libatomic* to install some atomic libs， the problem just didn't go away~ many thanks

I came across the same error in my wsl too.
My solution to it is to fix the format of config.guess (EOF should be LF rather than CRLF).
sed -i 's/\r$//' config.guess
