Support for LocalStack for Azure

I see that LocalStack for Azure is available (at least in a preview): https://azure.localstack.cloud/introduction/

It provides a promising path for .NET development and testing of Azure-based cloud applications. Since many .NET developers work primarily with Microsoft Azure, this could be an interesting direction to explore. I’m not sure about LocalStack’s long-term plans for Azure, but if it continues to evolve, it might make sense to consider adding such support.

Are there any plans to extend this project to support LocalStack for Azure?

Wow, that’s actually new to me too! I knew they had this kind of vision for a while, but I must’ve totally missed the announcement.

To be honest, the only reason I’ve been able to maintain both the LocalStack.Client and the Aspire integration projects so far is because I already knew my way around AWS. When it comes to Azure, though… my knowledge is basically zero 😅 — I don’t even know where to start or how the SDKs and configuration models work there.

That said, if the scope is just about setting up and orchestrating the Azure container, I think there’s definitely something we could experiment with. It’s just not something I could probably pull off solo right now, we’d need to discuss and plan it out properly before jumping in.
