How to style inputs?

This seems to be valid code, yet only thing it applies is appearance = false:

Input::new(&self.input_state)
    .appearance(false) // Works
    .text_align(TextAlign::Center) // Does nothing?
    .content_center() // Does nothing?
    .justify_center() // Does nothing?
    .items_center() // Does nothing?
    .text_center() // Does nothing?
    .font_family("Times New Roman") // Does nothing?
    .text_color(gpui::red()) // Does nothing?

I want my input text centered, with custom font for this specific input.
