Profiler not working on ajax call

How can i log db query on ajax call, $this->output->profiler(true) was displying db query on chrome developer tool when using default profiler which comes with ci.

the ajax call are outside of the scope of the controller output.. this its not related to codeigniter-forensics,

@rrajesh011 if an ajax call its like a new complete request, but the problem its tht happened apart of the current loaded context.. so that's obviously why are not showed in any place.. its not part of the framework inclusively, its more a client side bussines..

go to network in developer chormium to see what you want,

about ajax calls and profiler loading in that responses: the profiler output in the responses of ajax calls

if some ajax call are over the CI output, profiler wil out as part of..
this means that we must detect the request type but:

if(!empty($_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH']) && strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH']) == 'xmlhttprequest')
means that server must implement and provide the $_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH'] as the golden ticket but not all servers provide this variable so having other checks in place will be important

then, aparte we have the situation that the $ci->input->is_ajax_request() got in an error

so in clonclusion, there is no sure-fire way of knowing that a request was made via Ajax. You can never trust data coming from the client. You could use a couple of different methods but they can be easily overcome by spoofing.

loading the html code in a response ajax output does not harm the results but make sense on the interpretation if some tools are xpected some sense in results, those check must be inplemented in the constructor by example as if (config_item('profiler')) and (!empty($_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH']) && strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH']) == 'xmlhttprequest' ) ) check
