Virustotal and windows defender are not happy, and I'm not sure why

I've been using this for a few days and it's been running perfect, but now my PC hates it and I don't know if I should just allow it or what...

The Virustotal scan for "https://github.com/loriswit/rlcm/releases/download/v3.1.1/rlcm.exe" is clean, but when I actually download the file, it does this:

Not sure what's goin on, or if it could be a problem on my computer

Another note: This is only version 3.1.1. if I download 3.1, it does not detect anything until I launch it and it tries to auto update to 3.1.1 and then it is flagged

I have never heard of anyone having Windows Defender block this app. Do you have an additional antivirus installed?

I suppose the reason why some analyzers are not happy is probably because

• the program isn't signed
• it reads from and writes to the memory of another program
• it connects to the Internet (to check for updates).

If you're not sure the file you downloaded is the right one, you can compare it with this checksum:

If you still don't trust this program, you could also read through the source code and build the executable by yourself. Unfortunately I don't think there's much I can do to prevent this kind of issues.
