It would be very helpful to have a custom field for a link dedecated to the monitor. My issue is that i want to link to my documentation for example. Would be awesome to have that feature!

has been reported multiple times already, there are a number of duplicates.
If you search a bit, you will find them.

This system needs a cleanup, with 2 description boxes and one toggler this is a bit too configurable it seems.

We simply use the description field on each monitor, employing HTML, to add links to our documentation and customer database. This information is then visible at the very top, under the monitor's title.
