Binding for retrieving MAC address of network interface

As per discussion with @lneto here, a binding in lualinux to get MAC address for a given network interface would be useful.

I think it would be more useful to retrieve from the interface index. BTW, I've a patch for passing the interface index to netfilter callbacks. I can push it to a branch if you like.

Also, if there's a way to retrieve the interface index from a socket, it would be a good addition as well.

sorry.. I lost this patch =`(.. but it should be easy to re-do it.. you can just change this line to:

if (lua_pcall(L, 1, 3, 0) != LUA_OK) {

and add something like this before..

lua_pushinteger(L, skb->dev->ifindex);

not sure if we need to check if dev != NULL here..

after that, your netfilter callbacks will receive ifindex as a third argument.

regarding socket, I think we can indeed do both =). Perhaps we can add a binding on lualinux to get the interface name by its index as well.. now we linux.ifindex() for getting the index by name.
