How to get expired subscription of different plans?

I have users who can have different subscriptions with different plans. Subscriptions can expire. Due to global scopes, I can't get the expired subscription of the desired plan. This query returns null.

        $expiredSubscription = $this->user->subscription()
            ->where('plan_id', $this->plan->id)
            ->withoutGlobalScopes()
            ->first();
        
        dd($expiredSubscription);

        if ($expiredSubscription) {
            $expiredSubscription->renew();
        } else {
            $this->user->subscribeTo($this->plan);
