looks like there are significant software changes, and it's quite possible that they changed the CPU to something new entirely, because reviewer suggets performance improvements unseen in previous models

(ok, more than "possible", the previous imx6ull platform is literally impossible it's very bulky!)

I've ordered one for testing, since the latest CPC200 no longer includes Wi-Fi 5 (mine has now an NXP SoC). That’s super annoying, 2.4 GHz just isn’t usable at all with that speed (5GHz 802.11n max 150Mbps). Connecting time of 6 seconds is also achievable with the CPC.

I am surprised you didn't like it, the NXP one is supposed to be the best? And I think they now standarized on putting the latest NXP one in their premium ones.

Haven’t tested it in a car yet, but I did test it with the CPC200-CCPA. It boots maybe a bit faster (~1sec?), though the difference isn’t significant compared to the CCPA. Wi-Fi is 802.11ax at 20 MHz, 86 Mbit/s, single spatial stream.

Btw. I'm also getting a connection within ~6sec with CPC200-CCPA,.

nice. the wifi chipset is "aic8800" and the CPU is ingenic X1600

One major CPU core, MIPS based, at 1.0GHz, L1 & L2 Cache, FPU
One minor CPU core which is good at real time control, MIPS based, at 240MHz

I don't see a flash chip on the picture. maybe it's NAND
