Will this work for CPC200-CCPA model?

Hi all,

So I'm trying to mod the firmware of CPC200-CCPA as we found out some cars has hidden autokit installed and can be triggered with specific version of the firmware (2024.01.11), I was trying to decrypt the A15W.img (provided by carkitlink) file with Firmware tools in this repo but it doesnt seems to work regardless using the AES or obfuscated method.

Would like to understand more if there's a possibility i can clone something from the working dongle and flash it on a normal one

unlikely. from what I can read on the internet, it's an entirely different software bundle made to interact with Autokit.apk.

the protocol is reversed and Autokit.apk can be replaced with react-carplay, for example

Well, update on this, so some modded Autokit.apk only whitelist certain dongle to work with the app, and from what I check it's only PID and VID difference, so i was wondering if it's possible to reverse the img file of a generic CPC200-CCPA dongle, then change the PID VID and repack into .img file for easy update via usb

yes, it sounds possible, but try react-carplay first which doesn't have this limit to see if this change would make sense

I'm able to dump the bin from a generic CPC200-CCPA dongle and then modify the PID VID then reprogram the EEPROM, this will trigger the modified autokit.apk hidden in the car IHU (due to the apk only tigger with specific PID VID), given we don't have any options to sideload any other apps to the IHU due to adb being locked out for us, I'm trying to find ways to just repack this modified bin files into a .img file so we can just plug in a USB to the dongle to flash update instead of re programming the eeprom everytime.
