Merge with mainline Plasma

Hi @luisbocanegra, love your panel!
Have you considered having it merged to mainline Plasma so it be present officially in Plasma and can be maintained more easily?

Thanks for the kind words.

Due to the way this is implemented I have no intention of integrating it with upstream (at least not for now)

• It uses raw commands (through DataSource from org.kde.plasma.plasma5support) to run shortcuts/commands, that would most likely have to be ported to C++, a task I am not ready for
• It exposes too much, IMO exposing all the shortcuts might be too much as a built-in feature
• Currently this widget also includes a workaround for a bug caused by https://github.com/luisbocanegra/plasma-panel-colorizer (see 95c78ef) not sure if something like that can go upstream
• I regularly pull changes from the original spacer and have no plans on changing much of the original code so it isn't really much work on that front.

Though it being upstream would have helped with bug #58 but that one seems to be a Qt bug

I am not against the possibility so will leave this open for discussion

I'll have to agree with @teaalltr on this. This as an absolutely brilliant widget with functionality I've been missing ever since I started using Plasma soon to be five years ago. I can understand your hesitation, though, considering it's a major undertaking with all the hurdles you mentioned. Still, here's hoping to you changing your mind.
