calling utilities with no arguments causes a crash

this is a bit nitpicky, but calling the commands with no arguments will often just cause a hard crash with a Very Scary Zig Error

this is a bit confusing for the end-user (i was very confused when i first tried to use it and got this error, lol). ideally it would be better to default to printing the helptext if the required arguments are not present
