Documentation is confusing

The documentation on the core library is extremely verbose while mostly being as much marketing as technical information. However, this plugin documentation is thoroughly confusing. There's nothing here except what appears to possibly be half an example with no links or explanation of what any of it means.

Is this plugin abandoned? The latest version does not appear to work at all with CommonJS modules.
