I have zilch to say, except that this looks like a pretty slick implementation. And maybe GH could use a discussion forum, though I could see that going the wrong way. Tech folks with a platform to speak... I'll come back next week and this will be 4Chan.

God I hope not, LOL -- I was mostly just trying to encourage the managers of some larger projects to deploy this on their own repos, so discussions about the project can be separated from bug reports where something is actually broken. Sometimes people refrain from discussing meta topics because they dont want to pollute the bug database, but some improvements require exchange of ideas.

Yeah I would tend to agree that you are more likely to find random content that is more interesting & useful in a tech-oriented community. But if you really want a dedicated platform you can publish stuff through pages or gists. Many github projects which could benefit from some of these features are not taking full advantage of them.
