cutler seems like a great way to manage your system config but i feel like it is hard to use if you are not starting anew...

thus, i was wondering if there is a way to generate a cutler config that mirrors the current system configuration? As otherwise it is somewhat difficult to start using it

@acsandmann Great idea. I think it can be done pretty easily, but the issue lies in the quantity of possible settings that can be generated. macOS has a lot of those which would absolutely flood the configuration, creating bloat for the users.

• That being said, I think a configuration can still be generated for basic things such as the Dock, Menu Bar, Finder or Clock.

• Or, maybe generating with user prompt would work? cutler can ask the users whether they want to generate for a specific setting.

i don't think it would be impossible to generate defaults (maybe even in CI) and then only save the differences to default so we dont have a mass amount of entries

Yeah but what I'm trying to say is, there are a lot of defaults to save. So, the approach needs to be slightly selective.
