You will also want to look at adding an optional cache layer to the grab of the files to zip and the outcome zips -- imaging 100 users requesting the same zip file of 4gb of the same files. In my project I implemented it like this:

zip_file =
  Rails.cache.fetch("cached-archive-#{images.map(&:blob_id).sort}") do
    files = ActiveStorage::SendZipHelper.save_files_on_server(images)
    ActiveStorage::SendZipHelper.create_temporary_zip_file(files)
  end

send_data(
  zip_file,
  type: 'application/zip',
  filename: 'my.zip'
)

Maybe all we need is a helper for getting the zip file, so we could cache it on our own?
