Based on my comment in this issue, I would like to formally request that this patch be included as part of an official release for version 2.4.6, as it significantly impacts checkout flows and prevents users from completing their orders. For scenarios where the issue does not occur, the patch has no effect, but for those affected, it makes a substantial difference.
