Problems with lotw upload and not able to update code version

I have noticed a few "upload failed" statuses on my lotw uploads for the past weeks.

It seems that QSOs in M5JFS (IO90KU) are uploading but not all are shown with a green arrow as uploaded so Cloudlog tries to upload them each time I do lotw synch (lotw log rejects them as duplicates understandably)

But there are also some QSOs not uploading at all (eg ones in M5JFS/P (UKBOTA B/G-1624 Portsdown Fuel Bunker) and M5JFS/P (UKBOTA B/G-1256 Airfield Battle HQ Hamble).

I noticed my version was 2.6 17 which is downlevel - not sure why it wasn't updating as I have a cron job for that.
Ran the script manually and got this message which explains why the code isn't updating

To add an exception for this directory, call:

        git config --global --add safe.directory /var/www/html

I tried the suggested git config command but it made no difference.

I'd suggest trying

sudo git config --global --add safe.directory /var/www/html

I'm not aware of any issues with Git recently, once you can use git safetly try doing another upload

putting sudo in front of the git config resolved the issue with the update script not running.
Running the update script has worked and also fixed the lotw upload problem,
