Hi, I've been using CloudLog for several months, and as a Japanese user, I would like to share some feedback and requests to encourage more users from Japan to sign up.
In general, Japanese Hams prioritize both the QTH and QRA of the other station, as well as their own QTH, since many hams operate from cars or on foot. In Japan, QTH is coded in Japan-specific geo code, called JCC/JGC. We even have a Japan-only POTA system (PK awards), which is pretty standard on HF.
Most Japanese hams use Turbo Hamlog, which is available only in PC software. Portable ham operators are having issues logging their QSOs and looking up past QSOs because it's PC-based. Some hams attempt to recall the other station's QRA by checking the log to appear friendly.
We currently have one iPhone app that doesn't work well with Turbo Hamlog.
I experimented with several Western log software, and I found that Cloudlog seems to be the only software that can handle UTF-8 ADIF correctly. With the ADIF import/export capability in Turbo Hamlog, I can use Cloudlog for portable operations and Turbo Hamlog for my home location. However, Cloudlog is not perfect enough for me... Here's the list of feedback from me.
I think these are a lot to ask, but once these features are added, I can help translate this into the Japanese language (if nobody is contributing now).
