Facet (bucket) limit

I cannot seem to get more than 1000 items per bucket to return from the JSON API.

Here i can see that max matches is potentially meant to limit it, but there is no mention of a maximum. Is there a configuration I can use to increase this number?

Ignore this, data issue, categories of that particular index were a curious round 1000, using a different index yields a larger figure
