Hey!
I've submitted Flutter-Maplibre for the Flutter Early Access Programm for flutter seamless interop. And there is a high chance that flutter maplibre will be selected for the EAP program.
I would love to create a task force to move the flutter maplibre package completely from method channels to native & js interop. This means, it's much much easier to fix bugs & add new features because we can call native libraries/functions directly from dart instead of writing native code that then calls a native function.
If you're interested in joining the task force, please join the Slack group + #maplibre-flutter channel. We will create a taskforce channel in the next few days.
Since the changes will be breaking, we will finally release version 1.0.
I'll mainly join the project as the engineering manager and will be responsible for organizing and communication with the task force and the Google Flutter team. But I will also contribute as much as possible and do MRs etc.
We can do a weekly or keep us up to date via slack or GitHub.
What do you think? I think it's exciting that we can finally support iOS, Android, and the web from dart-only.
