Android Studio Live Edit

For me, live edit basically never works when Maplibre compose is involved. Even when using an activity as simple as

class MainActivity : ComponentActivity() {
    override fun onCreate(savedInstanceState: Bundle?) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState)
        setContent {
            val cameraState = rememberCameraState()

            MaplibreMap(
                cameraState = cameraState,
                modifier = Modifier.padding(123.dp)
            )
        }
    }
}

Changing the padding breaks live edit with some odd error like

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to find method '$r8$lambda$hq1J6eDNPFuNlJghv7uWa2Ei0nM(Landroidx/compose/runtime/Composer;I)Lkotlin/Unit;' in '.../ComposableSingletons$MainScreenKt' (MainScreen.kt)

Is it the same for everyone? I wonder if anything can be done about that, the dev experience would be much better with live reload

I've never used Live Edit, could you link some documentation about what that is and how it works?

Thanks, feel free to file an issue. I'm focused on catching up desktop support to Android/iOS so probably won't get to investigating this for a while, but we should investigate the root cause a bit before (probably) reporting upstream.

Very curious if Compose Hot Reload (on desktop) will have similar issues.
