WeatherLayers is a good library for rendering scalar fields and wind with particles in WebGL. Usage example: https://github.com/wipfli/lowlevelwind The license of WeatherLayers is MPL. |

Hey,
I am wondering if there are any options for or thoughts about wind / particle / velocity / scalar field rendering in maplibre?
I recently came across a post about this feature for GLEO (https://elk.zone/mastodon.social/@IvanSanchez/114625245808875499) and also there are options for this in e.g. leaflet (https://github.com/onaci/leaflet-velocity) and openlayers.
At the same time I saw some effords to display climate/weather data via maplibre (https://github.com/open-meteo/omaps), which is one of the use cases where this would be a nice feature.
