Pre Flight Check

Thanks to the outstanding work by the BBS team , I am now ready to go live with all the features i need and then some , but before I do I have a few final questions.

1. I will only use BorgBase for offsite storage ( its a fantastic service and friend to BorgBackup ) is a repository per endpoint the best way to do it ?

2. I will onboard lots of endpoints , what will happen to the dashboard "Storage Locations" section if each endpoint gets its own BorgBase repo like below ?

Wow, that's a lot of endpoints. I have a borgbase test account and I put multiple repos into the one borgbase account, i don't see why you'd want all those setup that way.

I also have a single BorgBase account , but each endpoint has its own repo ( ssh host ) , I couldn't do it any other way due to the way the repo gets locked , unless you know a smarter way to get around that ? My BorgBase setup looks like this its quite possible i set this up wrong ?

thats interesting, borgbase only seems to allow 1 repo per setup. never realized that. I suppose we should have some layout constraints for lots of repos. I'll have to think of a better way to handle that, probably group all borg bases into 1 and then you'll be able to see the detail on the storage page.

Thanks for looking into it , I havnt really tried much in terms of making it work any other way , would it be worth while doing that and discussing with borgbase prior to you looking at interface changes ?
