From YouTube feedback (@seethruhead7119):

The git plugin doesn't respond to workspace selection — user expected it to show the git state of the currently selected workspace, but it seems disconnected.

Expected: selecting a workspace updates the git plugin to show that workspace's branch, diff, status.
Actual: git plugin appears to show a fixed/global view regardless of workspace selection.

This may be intentional (git plugin shows the repo root) but the UX expectation is that it follows the active workspace context.
