The statuses of the tasks are incorrect?

In the screenshot below, you can see that this Milestone 2 Task says it is Blocked By Task 5, but it's listed as "open".

This causes issues because td next returns the highest priority open issue and so td next can return a blocked task because the blocked task is marked as open. I think the status of this task should be determined by whether or not the tasks that are blocking it are completed or not. In this case, if Task 5 isn't completed, then the status of Milestone 2 Task should be blocked and not returned in td next or td ready

Great catch — you're right that a task with unresolved blockers shouldn't show as open or be returned by td next / td ready. The dependency metadata is tracked but the status derivation doesn't currently factor in blocker completion state.
