When some latex is returned by an AI model, it doesn't display well for inline latex formulas in the chat pane as seen in the attached image.

What AI provider are you using? Latex is written with two dollar signs $$ and your LLM is outputting one $

@faysou it seems like the library we're using on the frontend isn't parsing single dollar signs for LaTeX but I agree with you that it should, it's possible the library we're using is configurable. We handle it correctly LaTeX correctly in mo.md markdown already

Streamdown uses double dollar signs ($$) to delimit mathematical expressions. Unlike traditional LaTeX, single dollar signs ($) are not used to avoid conflicts with currency symbols in regular text.

I think it makes sense for conventional LaTeX to render properly, given our audience is largely researchers and educators. We handle it well in our own markdown, but we use arithmatex which does some smart post processing. Unfortunately it seems like streamdown doesn't have similar logic implemented
