Description
What happened?
From text file, using ctrl+click to open timeline on the right does open a timeline, but it is either not associated with the text file or at least nothing renders there. Similarly, the command palette for "Markwhen: Open timeline view" opens the timeline on the right automatically, and thus does not work. So the only way to get a timeline up is to enable tab title bars and click to turn the text page into the timeline page.
This is unfortunate because I'd like to see both side-by-side. I also prefer shortcuts to mouse movements, and there is currently no way to see the timeline from the command palette.
What did you expect to happen?
There should be two command palette actions for timeline views (and others) - one to open timeline in current tab, another to open in tab to the right. Both should be properly associated with the current text file.
How can we reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)?
- Open mw file, add some events
- Use command palette - open timeline view
- Or,
ctrl-clickon view timeline button
