Android 11+ Camera Permissions Issue

The wallpaper crashes when I use any shader with the frontCamera texture sampler. The live-preview works fine, when I go to apply the background the texture is just black and after applying the wallpaper crashes.
I suspect this is due to a change in android 11+ regarding permissions for the camera (and microphone) sensor(s) when the app runs in the background.
From what I've read you appear to create a foreground service that keeps the permissions alive.

I've also been having trouble using the cameras as a wallpaper. The shader editor works nice and uses the camera correctly in the app. But when I try to set it as a wallpaper it instantly crashes and doesn't show anything.
