zsh autocomplete hogs cpu on macos #835

@Manith-2001

Description

@Manith-2001

Environment

I have installed zsh-autocomplete via homebrew and include it in my zshrc like this

source $HOMEBREW_PREFIX/share/zsh-autocomplete/zsh-autocomplete.plugin.zsh
  • Operating system: macOS Tahoe 26.1
  • Terminal emulator: Ghostty

Steps to reproduce

During normal usage I get multiple zsh processes like these that utilise a lot of cpu power

Image
Details This happens only when I include the above source statement in my zshrc if I don't I do not get any such zsh processes that eat up so much of my cpu
