go-eController is ONLY required, when you don't have any home automations that is able to provide the go-eCharger at least every 5 sec with the available feed-into-grid (over production) energy, that should be used to charge the vehicle - instead of sending the power to the grid...

When you make use of a home-automation (like it can be configured with "this" integration), then a go-eController is not required.
