Physical keyboard input fails for Traditional Chinese in Squircle-CE (on-screen Gboard works fine)

Describe the bug

• Physical keyboard input works in Chrome and other apps like Google Keep.
• In Squircle-CE, physical keyboard input fails under certain conditions.
• Output is English letters only, not Chinese characters.
• Gboard (Google Keyboard) works without problem.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

• Connect physical keyboard (USB/Bluetooth) to Android tablet (Lenovo IdeaTab Plus).
• Start Squircle-CE while keyboard is already connected.
• Set Gboard as default input method, Traditional Chinese enabled (Zhuyin/Pinyin/Cangjie).
• Try typing Traditional Chinese in Squircle-CE.

Expected behavior
Physical keyboard should input Chinese characters correctly, same as Chrome/other apps.

I add it is not working also in case of a physical keyboard using US international layout. Pressing, for example, ' or ` followed by a letter, it does not enter the corresponding accented letter. I also see the keyboard popup indicator is now shown when using Squircle-CE editor.
